Professionalism Beauty~ah~

As a future generation, we should learn about professionalism in every aspect of our life especially when it covers beautification people! Aha....  ;)) "Well, beauty in this case also include table manner".. :)

What is professionalism???

Professional status, methods, character, or standards. Retrieved from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/professionalism

So, here we are going to discuss and see the general idea about manner and table etiquette and beautification (how to dress for both gender and others).

Gentle Reminder: It is actually up to you about how to dress because this is only a general idea but it will be good when you practice it especially in a very special occasion.

Manner

So, many of us have been invited to come to a formal dinner right? If not, this might be your first time reading this,so...Welcome To My World :)

It is actually interesting  to know all this because it opens our eyes about what other people perception about table manner. Some might be sensitive about it while some not. It is always a better and good idea to know about this in case that we need it later.

Knowing + Application (practice it) = Beneficial factor such as individual satisfaction.

Now, Let's take a look what is all about okay :)

                                                         A Formal Dinner Setting

This is an example ONLY!!

We have a lot of different setting depends on the country, culture and the people who set it up.
Above is a type of utensil tools used when we have dinner in reputation or formal occasion.

How to USE them?

Now, always remember the concept of (OUTSIDE IN) because we start with the salad fork and soup spoon and then slowly as the dish started to change you used the fish fork and fish knife. See, it's from out to inside. (Above illustration of "A Formal Dinner Setting).

That's all for table manner ;)

Let's move to cloth especially for working, casual and other.... (I got this advice from a very professional person that involve in the beautification area)

Business Formal

  • make sure the color of the watch, shoes and belt similar,
  • the tie must be on the belt level (not too short/long)- this is the trend nowdays,
  • wear a suitable business jacket,
  • polish your shoes,
  • since male have not much accessories, the watch is very important because it main a role reflecting the type of person you are (to a certain extent)..,
  • your hairstyle should be comfortable and suit your face shape (ex: cirsle, heart, rectangle and so on...)

Business Casual

  • Since it's still involve Business, the casualty must be professional such as not too casual such as short pans (try too avoid it).
  • Choose Calm and smooth color such as blue, green and you can do more research on that...
  • Wear accessories such as hat if it's in location such as beach or sea (it also helps to protect your head) :)
  • Most important : It is (the cloth) relaxing and makes you feel comfortable and also portrayed your self smartly in a way...

Hello ! ... Language Acquisition, please dear..... :)

What is that???

Language acquisition is a process and ability of a person to be able to comprehend, understand and use language in a correct manner (interaction and construction of sentences).

First language acquisition (for example: You are born Japanese and your parents using Japanese language in interacting with you since birth, therefore, naturally you learn Japanese language as your First language). Well, that is your First language acquisition ;)

Now, given the next example of language acquisition : Juan (Italian) married to Anna (Australian) and Lily, their daughter was born later. Anna using English to interact with Lily since birth but Juan teaching Italian language to Lily too. So in this case, Lily, first language is English language because she learn it since birth and later learning Italian language from her papa. We also called Lily as Bilingualism ( a person who have the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in two language).

You can find it more here: http://leap.tki.org.nz/What-is-bilingualism

There are more types of language acquisition such as multilingual and monolingual people.

There are many factors involved in children language of acquisition such as:

  •  Parents
For instance, Jammy (English) married Jenny (English) and have a son. Both of them teach their son English and therefore, the son first language of acquisition is English language. This also related to the Lily case but she is bilingual.
  • Environment (country they lived)
For examples, there is a case where Sammy (English) married with Tia (Philippines) and they decided to stay in Korea. After 5 years they have twins, since they stay and work in Korea they are more used to speak in Korea and therefore they teach the twins Korean language because later the twins will also study in Korea. In this case, even though the parents are not Korean, the environment infused their language life and their children to perceived Korean language as their first language acquisition.

Amazingly, children learn all this trough mimicking, practicing, nature and nurture,  input and others.

Let me give you some examples:

Mimicking
Mom: Son, do our homework now!
Son: (Repeat the tone) Son, do your homework now!
Mom: Do your homework!
Son: (Repeat the tone) Do your homework!

Practicing
Writing and essay and interact with more knowledgeable people using the words that they try to remember and just learn.

Nature and nurture
Nature: Natural process where both parents speak English with their children and children get influence by English language.
Nurture: Reinforcement of words such as (have,has,are...) to children. Re correct the children sentences such as "I have a candy" not "I have an candy".

Input
The time spend learning something new such as spending time reading a book to learn new words or languages.

Mainly through diversity marriages, sometimes it is difficult for the children to identify their first language of acquisition. So parents, please take note on this issues okay ;)
